I live to explore our beautiful world. If my God made it, I want to see it! I am continually inspired by my surroundings and almost constantly on the move. I am compelled by inspiring people and new places. My love for art developed as far back as I can remember, which adds a fascinating element to my sense of wonder.
Painting for me is a means of escape, a chance to try new things and delve into a new way of viewing life. Experiencing fresh culture and language fuels me, and I enjoy allowing my travels and a sense of adventure to flow into my paintings.
Most all of my paintings are inspired by a place I have felt with my feet. Each painting is birthed from an experience that I feel the need to capture in a way that will linger longer than the fleeting observation. I like to think I'll have pieces of art to illustrate fascinating stories for my grandkids growing up in a "boring" futuristic society... at least that seems to be the vagabond's excuse to continue trailblazing, right?
"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for - and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool... for love... for your dreams... for the adventure of being alive."
